I threw together a quickie rug mug from scraps last night.
I was cutting the first 20 blocks (it's a lap quilt made from 40 layer cake pieces) and realized that the leftover scraps would make a cute little piece.
I think I really like sewing because of that. Small side projects are so much quicker and easier than when you're working on a single embroidery piece. Switching things up (re: crafting) makes it a little more rewarding for me.
