January TUSAL!

It's the first TUSAL post of the year!  I hope I actually keep up with these this time around.
If you don't know what TUSAL is, it's the Totally Useless StitchALong hosted by Daffycat.  We basically show off our orts (left over thread bits) that have been collected.  It's also linked in my sidebar.  And there's now a facebook group, huzzah!

I keep mine through the year and then use them to stuff an annual biscornu (currently a year behind, but I did keep my orts baggied for future stuffing from 2016).

Part of me is hugely excited, because I have so much ortage already this year. I have high hopes for my crafting progress through this year.

I went on a weekend getaway with good stitchy friends, and I actually saved my orts in a little, sturdy Ikea jar, and then transferred them to the bigger container.

This is from the weekend:

and here it it, those orts transplanted and more added to it.   I did a bonus shot of some of the snow that's plaguing us in NC today (we're over 6", still snowing).

    1. Haha, I totally forgot about it last year - I think I only posted one or two (then again, I didn't stitch much last year).

  4. So many orts!! Looks like you had a very productive month, and must have done tons of stitching on your getaway weekend.

  5. Great collection of ORTS. Love your shot in the snow, but rather you than me when it comes to snow.

    1. Thanks! And I'd rather anyone but me, but luckily we made it through. I hope it doesn't snow again this year (well, ever, but I'm not that lucky).

  6. Beautiful ORTs! You really have a lot! Now that I am not working I would really love to get snow but so far it's been abysmally dry.
