December TUSAL & IHSW

It's TUSAL time again, and it was also the IHSW weekend.  And I was in urgent care so now I'm home for the next few days with antivirals and antibiotics, so I have plenty of time to stitch (when I'm not sleeping).   Coincidentally, I was crowing over how awesome it is that it's the first Christmas since 2009 that I haven't worked; I'd rather be working than have the flu.

Anyway, I did finish the black in the Celtic Ferret Knot.   I'm still really unhappy with the material I used on this (it was antique linen from my stash, I wish I'd done a white evenweave, and a smaller count).   He's coming out OK, though ;)

And then I started something entirely different (hey, why not?).   I don't have all of the kreiniks and beads yet, but I ordered them, so it's just a matter of time.  And I have more evidence of my inability to square anything in my qsnaps.

And I added all of my pretty new threads to my ort jar.   I'm definitely going to need a bigger ort container for 2015.

Well.  I guess the good news is that I should have some good WIP Wednesday progress by then ;)

    1. Thanks! I think I'm on an upswing, so I'll just hang out, watching movies and stitching (more!)
And thank you for the ferret - I'm looking forward to him being done this year!

  2. BOO for being ill, but YAY for more time to stitch. Just remember to sleep when you really feel the urge, let your body take over and don't forget to take your meds <3

    1. I'd rather be healthy (especially over the holidays), but yay for stitching time, right?! lol
I stitch for a bit, but then if I'm tired, I curl up with my puppy on the couch. She doesn't leave my side for a second, so when the warm fuzzies take over, I just take a bit of a snooze. The downside is when she takes over the couch and throws my stitching on the floor ;)

  4. Sorry to hear you're sick. Bad timing, but think I'd rather be sick during scheduled time off than stress myself over trying to find someone to fill in or worse, drag myself in. Hope you're feeling better soon. Love the ferret as is, but looking forward to seeing the colors. Intrigued by your new start.

    1. I think that's the worst of it - we work this week, but as a shortened week, so the work is even more stressful. But since I'm notorious at showing up at work through everything, no matter how tired, out of sorts, or even sick, I am, everyone knows I'm sick (twice I got phone calls in the "OMG, you must really be sick not to be here" range). I did tell them I'd be back in on Friday (we only have Wed/Thurs off this week and next), and I'm definitely feeling a lot better!

Thanks for the compliments! And I'm hoping to have the new start finished this week!!! One more finish for 2014, hopefully :)
