One of my proudest moments

I had completely forgotten about my new sink faucet.

All of the times I've updated bathrooms, I've been too chicken to update the faucets.  It involves plumbing and other things I am afraid of.  But this year I sucked it up, watched a few Youtube videos (what did people do before the internet?  I can barely remember living without it!) and got to work.

You can kind of see the old contractor grade chrome faucet here -

I had friends over for a gaming night, which turned into a "I'm listening to them game while I tear apart my sink and cuss a lot" night, but I got it finished!

(And officially, the reason it took me so long was that a part had been cross-threaded on the original, so it took me a while to tear everything out)

I love the whole oil-rubbed bronze thing.
And I did it!  All by myself!

    1. Thanks! I do love the look. It's just so pretty and classic (and it shows dirt less!)

  2. Great job. I love the feeling when you do something for the first time. Love the finish on the faucet. I need to do a lot of switching out of things in my house too.

    1. That feeling is awesome (right behind the "why didn't I try this before?!"). I want to knock out a wall to expand a closet into dead space, and I'm terrified of that... but I have friends who will help - I'm hoping I have another one of those "why didn't I do that sooner" moments :)

My next realistic goal is switching out the hinges and door handles to match (they're still contractor brass).
